Family Socialization

Some expectations my moms mom had for her were to have a good & happy life and that with time she was prepared academically so she could have goals that she would be able to accomplish one day. She also wished to see her being independent and be able to get by on her own and not have to be depending on anybody but herself.
My mom was taught to always be honest & be respectful also to have to respect herself and respect everybody else so in other words have good values.
Some traditions or customs in Hispanic families is eating together during dinner  to enjoy the company of each other and to share anything we want with each other.
Parts of my personality that I have that my parents recognize as their own is their sense of humor & them being so kind with everybody. I feel that those are the ones me & my family see. I always get told that me & my parents are always trying to help others in need and we're always acting goofy.

God Grew Tired Of Us

Seeing this movie touched my heart their stories were all very moving & it makes me happy seeing that they got a chance to make something good out of their lives and by them succeeding they allow their families back at home to have a better life as well because they would be sending money back to their country to help their loved ones. The scene where they were in the airport reminded me of when miss brownstone told us she teached in china how her students looked at her with amazement every single day. They told the little girls at the pool that back in their country there was only black people and them being in another country and seeing all types of different people was shocking to them.
My freshman year I got the chance to meet a guy that was running away from his country when everything with kony was going on. He was such a sweet guy & his story completely broke my heart. He told us he had no family the last family he had was his mother and she had been killed and watched her die in his arms. Just like the lost boys he was brought to America and they gave him and other boys a place to live and got him job and he became a very successful man. Meeting such a strong man like him was a very nice experience that I will always remember.
Something I noticed about the boys is that they see every little detail in things that we never seem to even care about they appreciate everything they have. Nobody enjoys working but these boys were happy and ready to go to work. I also saw how family meant everything to them and that just makes me realize how disconnected we are as people now a days and it's every sad.
This is so inspiring and it’s nice to think that they want to do everything to better their country. This was such a great video their story is amazing and it just comes to show that no matter how bad your life is it can always get better if you put your all into it.
